The post got too long to let the editor edit it, so here's the additional pieces of evidence (will update as required). Also, as some have pointed out, I mixed up the reference for Chapter 12: Aerith knows that Marlene is Barret's daughter, not the other way around (I hope no one took that way seriously). Also of recent note is that the Ultimania (released after this initial post) points out some of the same details I've been showing here, nearly confirming this post's conclusions: Nojima even points out that he wrote all of her lines with the premise that everything she says will have great meaning later on: Chapter 9 Scene: Cloud and Aerith see Tifa riding to Wall Market in the carriage Aerith knows Tifa's plan despite not having heard it (medium) [Cloud has conversation with Tifa that she's purposely trying to keep quiet and drops off the back of the carriage] [Aerith walks up after Cloud starts walking away] [Aerith]: Oh no you don't. You're going after her. [Cloud]: She's a big girl, she can handle the likes of him. And worse. [Aerith]: Uh-uh. You don't know Corneo. It doesn't matter how strong or smart you think you are. He'll find a way to turn it against you. And where's she going to meet him? A mansion filled with his his goons. This one's only interesting when you account for the fact that Tifa is trying to keep her conversation with Cloud quiet. Aerith is farther away than the driver, so it's nearly impossible she would have heard. When she does walk up, she acts as if she has heard the entire thing. She knows the "him" in question is Don Corneo, which is a bit unlikely given the the broad range of people "him" could apply to, not to mention that she knows Tifa would be meeting him in a mansion filled with his Goons. Scene: Party is getting ready to leave Don Corneo before being dropped into the sewers Aerith leads the party and stops them on Corneo's trapdoor (weak) Come on, guys! We've gotta go! [Aerith starts the team running away and stops just on the edge of the Don's trap door so everyone stops on it. ] Here Aerith is the one to get the party moving after hearing Shinra's plan from the Don (Tifa does this in the OG). Aerith stops as the team is following her directly near the edge of the trap door such that the other team members are squarely on top of it. She even repositions herself to be even closer to the middle afterward (which is most evident if you wait too long to answer Corneo). Chapter 10 Scene: After defeating Abzu Aerith is the one that convinces the crew to go check on the pillar rumor (weak) he was telling the truth... [Tifa]: Hmm? [Aerith]: And there's still a chance he was, isn't there? should go. And if it turns out he was lying, then so what? Right? This one's not much on its own, but combined with the next two starts to say something. Scene: The team prepares to cross the pontoon bridge Aerith seems to know the plate will come down when questioned by Tifa (medium) Right. [Looks down, a bit lost in thought. ] [Tifa]: Aerith, what are you not telling me? [Aerith]: Huh? This one's rather explicit, with Aerith being dodgy and only being saved by Cloud interrupting them. Scene: Aerith tries to cheer up Tifa about the prior conversation Aerith tries to cheer Tifa up by telling her the future isn't set in stone (weak) Still thinking about the plate? [Tifa]: Yeah. [Aerith]: The future isn' in stone. That's what I always tell myself. This is in line with her later references to the same topic about living in the moment and changing the future. Even though she possibly knows it needs to happen. On it's own, not much, but lines up well with similar references, especially those in Chapters 14 & 18. Also, after looking at the phrase more in detail, it looks like the "Two peas in a pod" line from the scene with Oates in Chapter 8 is likely referring to Oates and Cloud sharing similar characteristics. Either way, it would seem Aerith has a very good read on Cloud's personality by this point. I would argue that this is weak enough not to be counted by itself as good evidence, even weakly.

This movie was mostly filmed in my small Canadian town. It was such a good experience, I even met bill hader. 2:47 me when I'm high. Wow huh wow hmm WOW. What scared me most about the scene with the gay guy being killed is, Im also gay and I have asthma. Literally worst fear.
